Possibility of editing the contents (Video)

This topic is mostly related to the issue of interaction.
Internet facilitates the sharing of knowledge in a digital form. For the first time it is also possible to edit this knowledge.
However this may have negative consequences, as there is no certification of the knowledge which in turn has led to the diminishing concept of the author and the development of a sense of independence from authority.

The positive consequence is that individuals are able to share and exchange their skills.
The aim of this topic is to present the difference between digital and written information and to develop the creativity of youngsters when using IT tools.

The expected learning outcomes for youth workers:

Outline of exercise
This exercise is made up of one activity: the creation of a video clip.
It deals with the relationship between video and digital technology and the consequences for the role of the author. The aim of this exercise is to give youth workers information about how digital technology can be used to exploit young people’s creativity. In addition to this the session aims to help youth workers understand that most things that are found on the Internet can be modified in some way. Because of this it is possible to create something new by simply modifying something that already exists and merging it with something else. The importance of this phenomenon is tied not only to the concept of the artist but also to the changes that it can bring about in the mind of youngster.
