Yo - Pro : Youth work in Progress is a Leonardo da Vinci pilot project aimed at developing a model for vocational training for youth workers and leaders.
In Yo- Pro we we explore and develop new roles and new methods for youth work. The fundamental principle guiding the Yo-Pro model is that youth are- and should be viewed as- the builders of society, rather than passive consumers.
One of the reasons for developing a European youth work education plan is the widespread need for recognition of youth workers as professionals. Yo- Pro will obtain the tools and resources necessary for achieving and documenting overall competencies.
The project is promoted by Trondheim City Council in cooperation with partners from United Kingdom, Italy, Poland and Sweden.
