Description of the organisation:
At no limits we develop the capacity of people to realise their economic, social and personal potential; to see, create, develop and make the most of opportunities. We do this by enabling people of all ages to develop the thinking and skills essential for success.

No limits has specialist expertise in designing and delivering high quality training and development programmes with a wide variety of client groups.

Our programmes and projects are tailor- made for our clients, varying in length and content to suit all needs.
Experience in previous projects:

In the community, we develop and deliver projects and programmes for a wide range of target groups, including those most disadvantaged, with our m oving o n and KickStart personal development programmes and a number of courses developing enterprise skills.

For the world of sport, we have programmes that focus on developing the thinking skills essential for success in all sports. These support holistic development by providing workshops for coaches, teams, individuals, young people and their families, which focus on achieving success in their sporting field.

We are passionate about the power of learning and work within education, providing training and development for teachers and lecturers, developing curricula for young people, and designing development projects for clusters of schools and colleges focusing on personal development and enterprise skills. In addition, no limits delivers “The Learning Game” teacher INSET and pupil workshops and “Get Into Enterprise” training for the East Midlands. We also support schools participating in the “Global Achievers” programme in England.

  • enterprise for all project – involving 24 groups from schools and the communities in Nottinghamshire

2002/2003 no limits designed, developed, project managed and delivered the training and support for facilitators involved in the project.
The training provided for facilitators included training in some of the areas in the MovingOn programme and the Get into Enterprise programme. See attached project leaflet.

  • ESF Projects

no limits is currently managing and delivering 3 ESF community based projects in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire with a variety of partners and target groups as well as a number of other community development .

  • OCN – Enterprising People

Developed an Enterprising People OCN 30 hour accredited programme designed to develop learners enterprise skills with New College Nottingham. The programme supports participants to undertake a commercial or social enterprise project. We have also developed a “training the facilitator” programme for this course; delivered with 3 cohorts of facilitators to date.

  • Get into Enterprise

no limits is a licence holder for the “Get into Enterprise” programme developed by Scottish Enterprise which is an up to 75 hour programme that can be used flexibly to support the development of enterprise skills. It provides a programme and materials for facilitators to take learners through the whole process of facilitating developing their enterprise skills and setting up mini enterprises. This is also now an on-line programme so learners can become increasingly independent learners and progress at their own rate.

  • Active Learning – teacher training

After identifying a particular need with teachers and lecturers we have recently developed teacher inset to support teachers developing materials and activities that enable them to more effectively respond to the needs of kinaesthetic learners. This is being piloted with teachers in 4 Mansfield schools and with “the learning chain” established by emda to promote training for post 16 providers across the East Midlands.
